Made to Measure Box Frame Sliding Sash Windows

The modern day version of the classic box frame sliding sash window, otherwise known as the double hung sliding sash window.

Depending on your requirements, our timber box frame sliding sash windows can use cords, weights and pulleys to counter balance the sashes in the traditional way or a more modern alternative using spiral balances.

We take great care to ensure that where required we can reproduce exact copies of your original window. In particular, the dimensions of the sash frames, meeting rails and glazing bars have been made as slim as possible with traditional mouldings to accept double glazed units using a duplex system applied with timber bonded glazing bars. Alternatively for listed and conservation buildings we supply low line double glazed units using solid glazing bars and face putty in keeping with the traditional style and look.
